YOUR NEXT GOOD PLAN
Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting
ManhattanDec 2 · ceremony 7–10pmFree surrounding-street viewing · restricted access near the tree

An iconic New York night, with a little planning.
The plan
The 2026 tree lights up on December 2. The area closest to the tree is reserved for the broadcast and invited guests; public spectators use surrounding streets subject to security and capacity.
Before you go
The tree arrives November 7; lighting is December 2 from 7–10pm. Arrival day is not lighting night. Check the organizer’s current public access guidance and do not confuse paid observation-deck packages with ordinary street viewing.
Location: Surrounding public streets at Rockefeller Center, Midtown Manhattan
